Episode Ten - "Hollerin'"

Fruteland Jackson plays and sings the blues. He is also heavily involved in the "Blues in the Schools" program. In this segment, Fruteland talks about "field hollering" and it's significance and history in the blues. As an added bonus, I have included a video of the title track from Fruteland Jackson's latest CD, "Blues 2.0" which is a modern day field holler - work song.

The second segment features blues musician, Super ChiKan, who resides in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Super ChiKan talks about how he became a blues musician. Just by his name, Super ChiKan, you know that he is a unique individual. If you've seen him perform, you'd know that he brings his uniqueness to the blues.

The final segment of this episode features a great artist name Kelly Joe Phelps. Although, he does not consider himself to be a blues musician, he is definitely influenced by the blues. Kelly Joe Phelps is a very articulate musician who is also a great talent.

Please note: For the audiences in the United States, episode ten has been replaced by the show on Charlie Musselwhite - Episode 14.
